one.thirty.one.

I can't believe tomorrow it will be February. The past 31 days went by entirely way too fast. I guess that's what happens when you are constantly on the go.

I finally received my GRE scores, and I have no idea how to interrupt them. So I am just going to assume that I did really well. Solid method, right? They recently changed the scoring scale which has completely thrown me off on the score I needed to make. Nonetheless, I sent off my applications to Boston and New York. Tomorrow is the deadline. I now I have to wait patiently, or not so patiently, until the end of March to hear the results. Fingers crossed!! I may pull my hair out by then but hopefully the next two months will keep me super busy.

Tomorrow, I will be starting a photo-a-day challenge. If I remember to take a picture each day I should have some interesting photos to share by the end of February. Wish me luck!! But for now, here are some of my favorite moments with my favorite people in January.

Watching the first baseball game of the season, and freezing!

Ringing in the New Year. 2012 Baby!

Watching the Hogs win the Cotton Bowl. Woo Pig Sooie!

Quick Trip

Last weekend, I took a quick trip to see these beautiful people.

By quick, I mean I spent less than 48 hours out of town but it was so great to see these three.
I managed to do a lot of exploring around Bentonville, Ark. Which is a much more interesting town than I expected.

We spent most of Saturday in downtown Rodgers and Bentonville checking out local coffee shops and thrift stores.

I visited the original Wal-Mart, which now serves as a museum highlighting the success of Sam Walton. It's fascinating that such a success started in a 5-10 in Bentonville, Ark.

We also went to the Crystal Bridges Art Center. It just opened this past summer. It features tons of pieces. The picture above was my favorite display. The picture is made from spools of thread. You cannot see the picture until you look through the glass ball thingy (not the official term). It was so neat.

After a delicious dinner, we went ice skating at an outdoor rink then warmed up with coffee at the Press Room. It's a newer coffee shop in the area with a unique atmosphere. Very big city.

We finished the weekend with a game of bowling. Brandon kicked our butts.

I had an early drive back to Little Rock so I could make it to work. Thank goodness for Chai Tea Lattes and safe photo taking to keep me from falling back asleep.

I brought home so nifty trinkets I found at a local thrift store. I knew my dad would get a kick out of the beer mug. I was right. And we all know I love the Mr. Kennedy.

New Year. New Things.

With the New Year in full swing, it's time to make a to-do list for 2012.

I like to-dos better than resolutions.

You feel bad if you don't keep a resolution.

1. Move to an awesome city.

Preferably Boston, but New York, Austin or Dallas would work too.

2. Get into grad school. Fingers crossed.

3. Actually go to the gym, not just think about going.

4. Backpack Europe. Boujur.

5. Go to Austin City Limits.
